Happy New Year from Wordful!

As I write this, it’s 6am on New Year’s Day and I’m sitting in the dark on a beach chair listening to the ocean (I’m camping with my family). Blogging on the beach is not a bad way to start the year!

Let Intention and Action Guide Your Success in 2011

The way I see it, the more intention you put into something, the more likely it is to grow (or as they say, “what you focus on expands”). So if you’re looking to build your blog into your own business (or whatever it is), I recommend you stay committed in thought and action on doing just that.

The catch, of course, is that higher your goals, the harder it’s going to be to accomplish them. This is why it’s wise to tie smaller, more measurable goals and milestones to your agenda.

By doing this you are essentially building a staircase for yourself, which is a heck of a lot easier to build than an elevator!

Will 2011 be Your Pivotal Year?

If you’re looking to seriously improve your situation and your life, immediately start focusing on the things that matter and cutting out the things that don’t. Obviously this isn’t always easy, but it’s something you must be 100% resolved to do if you ever expect anything to change.

It’s amazing what the Universe will do for you when you think this way. I spent 2010 really focused on achieving more independence by way of my blog and my business. It wasn’t always clear what I was doing—and there were some very tough obstacles in my way—but in the final six weeks of the year things began to shift. I started gaining more confidence and traction and right now—I’m on the verge of releasing my first ebook.

It’s admittedly a humble change, but I am very excited to start 2011 with far more time and energy to work on the things that really matter to me.

I wish all of you the very best success in your goals this coming year. You really can do it!
