Crafting my elevator pitch is today’s challenge for Darren Rowse’s Problogger “31 Day Challenge” (Day 1). An elevator pitch is a quick way to describe in clear terms exactly what you’re doing.
Here is Wordful’s:
Short pitch: Wordful helps bloggers create exceptional content.
Long pitch: Wordful helps bloggers create exceptional content by teaching them how to think and act like their blog’s Editor-in-Chief. Bloggers who are editors have much better control over the quality of their content and the connection with their audience.
The skills of an editor will be in high demand as the revenue models for content publishing evolve.
Wordful focus on these topics:
- Editorial Strategy
- How to improve your writing
- Editing and publishing
- Blogging mindset
- Product, service and book reviews related to content and blogging
- Profiles of people, blogs and other websites
Wordful considers itself the compliment to Problogger, which focuses mainly on “how to blog,” and Copyblogger, which focuses on blog copywriting.
You can still sign up for the 31 Day Blogging Challenge here.

Ah you’re on the 31 days to build a better blog too! 🙂
I like your short pitch esspecially.
Had a bit of trouble with mine to be honest. I ended up with “helping achieve everlasting relationship happiness through the process of conscious dating”. I’m not sure it’s particularly pithy though, nor does it reveal my experience.
Have you thought about exchanging your new pitch with the ‘where content meets web’ in your website tagline? I definitely think it explains your site better. 🙂

Hi Sam — yes my tagline needs to go! I will be replacing it today.
For your pitch, I would try to explain what conscious dating means without actually saying the phrase “conscious dating.” I think the real value of your blog comes in when you can clearly educate people on what conscious dating is
I’m not really sure what conscious dating means myself but I know it’s essence of what you’re writing about.
Samuel McCrohan says
Thanks, that helps a lot. 🙂
I’m sure we’ll speak again during the challenge.

This might be something I would have been into trying had I not gotten so busy all of a sudden.
