The answer is yes.
If you really want to get better at blogging, I recommend you try blogging once a day, 5 days a week for 1 month.
Right now I’m at the very start of my second week of daily blogging. Because I’ve never done this before, it’s been very difficult to keep up this schedule. But I persist…
The point is to set a goal to not just write but publish something every weekday until the practice becomes secondhand.
Why would you want to blog every day?
There are some very compelling reasons:
- Blogging on a daily basis is a constant amongst the variables in your life. If your career changed suddenly for better or for worse, you’d still be still the same blogger. There’s comfort in being able to express your own ideas regardless of circumstance or shifts in power.
- You ideas don’t have to be perfect. If you set a goal to publish once a day, you leave yourself far less time to pursue that elusive state of perfect, which, by the way, exists only in the mind of procrastinators.
- A post a day adds up. There’s no better way to build your portfolio of ideas than to blog every day. These posts are like deposits in a bank account, from which you can draw dividends in the future.
- Blogging is respectable. People like bloggers. They like people who take the time to take a stand and share their ideas. Who doesn’t want this?
- You can break free from restrictions and find your unique voice. I can’t say I’m there yet, but this is my 6th post in a row and I already feel less controlled by all the so-called rules of blogging. My voice is emerging and it feels liberating!
‘Quick’ and ‘Quality’
My goal at the end of the month is to be able to write and edit one excellent blog post in 1 hour or under, per day (they need not be the same post). If I can do this, then you can do it, too.
You may not produce the best posts every day during your trial period, but that’s perfectly okay.
Blogging is not museum curating. You are not creating an arrangement of viewable art, but rather a galaxy of ideas that enliven and engage people.
Are you up for the noble task of blogging everyday?

I’m trying to do this. I think setting an hour aside everyday will work, and as one gets used to it, the length of time may even shorten as it will become second nature.
Thanks for this 🙂

Nice to hear from you Sheetal. Yes, I’m counting on the time to write shortening, because if it doesn’t I won’t be able to keep up!
