My Dear!!
I loved the content of this post!! and off course I agree with it...Internet was made for content, and that is what people is looking for, if they feel confortable and satisfied with your content they will respect your brand and off course buy some products/services from you.

Damon, you have an emerging blog business model! Another thing you could do is become an affiliate for local companies: you could help them sell their products and services for a commission. Perhaps this could come in the form of a review or profile of their company or offering.

Interesting read.

I find myself trying to blog enough about local events, that the local event organizers have found an easy outlet in my blog by sending me their PR's.

I in turn have sought a few benefits from posting Ads on my site from companies that are also looking for unique ways to get out their name.

I think it's a win win situation for the bloggers and the companies looking to save money.

I'm totally honest about the companies that sponsor my blog and what I get in compensation for my ads.

I have no problem promoting them freely on my blog in postings or in tweets either.
