How to Get Things Done and Get Them Done Faster

I’m blogging like I’ve never blogged before here at Affiliate Dot Com Live event and Bob “The Teacher” Jenkins is on stage talking about creating a stable online income while remaining calm and in control. Sounds pretty promising.

“The Teacher” is on an 11 day vacation in Vegas and as you might expect he’s been making money the whole time he’s been lounging. He’s here to show us how to think bigger about our possibilities in business as well as creating security within our family and personal life.

Bob is all about consistency and stability. He doesn’t focus on huge splashy launches or “$25,000 days.” He’s more interested in earning $10,000 a month every month. It’s more about being able to relax and breathe and therefore become unstoppable.

The intangible costs of not finishing what you know needs to be done

When you’ve got an idea and you know you need to execute it, it helps avoid “SOS,” or “Shiny Object Syndrome.” People who suffer from SOS are like a starfish getting its arms pulled in all directions but going nowhere.

Results of SOS include:

  • Depriving potential customers of your critical solutions
  • Sense of failure
  • Diminished self-worth
  • Personal relationships suffers
  • “Why should I bother” attitude
  • Postponing your dreams

Join a Mastermind Group

Bob’s solution to getting things done is to join a mastermind group, which is a group of like-minded colleagues who share the same goals and provide accountability to the other members of the group.

The 7 benefits of a mastermind group:

  1. Faster list building
  2. More traffic to your product
  3. Get things done with accountability
  4. Generate new ideaw to refresh your your business
  5. Eliminate costly learning curve
  6. Share resoureces to save time and money
  7. Affiliate partnerships and connections through each other’s spheres on influence

10 Proven Mastermind Techniques to Promote Anyone Can Use

Pick 3 you can do ASAP:

  3. Co-host a pair of teleseminars; get on the phone and interview each other
  4. Guest blogging, consistently on the same blog or blogs
  5. Recording a testimonial video on your masterminds’ products. Just takes a minute on a Flipcam and you just talk about their quality product

  7. Facebook stalking: tag their stuff, like their stuff, leave comments
  8. Recommend and endorse on LinkedIn
  9. Bookmark posts and sites with OnlyWire
  10. Publish their YouTube videos, make comments and link back to their websites

I would have posted a video of Bob talking about Facebook stalking, but he saw me filming me and asked me to stop. Guess I would have exposed his master ninja guru secrets!

When Bob saw you video’ing him he probably thought for a second that YOU were a facebook stalker. Can’t hardly blame him.

I liked, “The intangible costs of not finishing what you know needs to be done.” idea. If we can make ourselves FEEL this – the cost – the pain – the suck that it truly is – we’d get a lot more of the less glamorous – but essential stuff – done. How’s that for 6 dashes in a sentence? Yeah, I’m a writer. I sell books.

You might post what you have of the video – that’d be laughs him asking you to shut it off while talking about facebook stalking.

    Cheers all…

    Hi Mike again.

I have to be honest with you — that guy Bob was a little creepy. There was something cold and uneasy about him that a lot of the people in the room didn’t like.

So when he suddenly stopped talking and looked at me and told me to turn off the camera, I did without hesitation. It was if I would have disappeared had I not respected his demand.

Ha! I gotta look this guy up Charles… this is how serial killers are sometimes found out… someone that pretends to fit in – but, makes people uncomfortable… There’s something missing, some social attribute that makes him seem just a little bit off to other people.

Cheers to you my friend, and damn good thing you shut off that camera – what’d you expect – to pay to some unrealistic fee for a presentation and be able to video tape it too? LOL – !
