How to Get Things Done and Get Them Done Faster

I’m blogging like I’ve never blogged before here at Affiliate Dot Com Live event and Bob “The Teacher” Jenkins is on stage talking about creating a stable online income while remaining calm and in control. Sounds pretty promising.

“The Teacher” is on an 11 day vacation in Vegas and as you might expect he’s been making money the whole time he’s been lounging. He’s here to show us how to think bigger about our possibilities in business as well as creating security within our family and personal life.

Bob is all about consistency and stability. He doesn’t focus on huge splashy launches or “$25,000 days.” He’s more interested in earning $10,000 a month every month. It’s more about being able to relax and breathe and therefore become unstoppable. [Read more...]

Highlighter Plugin Review: Add Fluid Conversation to Your Blog

Just the other day I was chatting with my Maui friends David and Jeff of Organic Themes and we were wondering what the guys at Unique Blog Designs were up to.

Well it seems they’ve been cooking up a nifty little WordPress plug-in called Highlighter. This plugin for WordPress (and soon to be other blog platforms) is a sophisticated commenting and sharing plug-in for your blog.

I just downloaded, installed and tested it, and so far: I’m impressed…just as long as the bugs get worked out. I also LOVE the name!

Fluid Commenting and Sharing on Your Blog

First of all, if you look around, you’ll see that I’ve got Highlighter installed on this blog.

All you have to do is highlight something that catches your attention and choose from making a comment, sharing on Facebook or Twitter or email.

The commenting features seems to work pretty well — if you look at the bottom of the page you’ll see a what I highlighted and the comments I made on it. [Read more...]

Take Time to Appreciate What You Got

This post is off-topic, but I can’t not say it:

It’s inevitable in life that something forces us to pause and take full stock of our blessings.

In my case, it’s my beautiful wife, our four incredible children and our home in Hawaii. I’ve got just about everything I could ever want and need!

The reason I bring this up is because one of Hawaii’s greatest surfers, Andy Irons, passed away suddenly today. He was 32 and on his way back home to the island of Kauai to be with his family and his wife Lyndie. They were expecting their first child next month. [Read more...]

How to Improve Your Blogging Quickly and Drastically

If you’re really serious about improving your blogging skills, try what I just did: publish a post every day for one month. Monday through Friday is fine.

Here are few improvements you’ll be sure to make:

Your writing will get better

Much better, in fact. Having the discipline to write and publish everyday is just like exercise: you eventually get into shape. You start sounding more relaxed and the act of writing doesn’t hurt so much.

The first week is especially tough, I will admit. It’s painful to force yourself to do something that can feel so uncomfortable and strained. Getting past the second week is pretty rough, too. [Read more...]

Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Do Is…

Show up.

Not every day or moment is your best.

Some days you’re…busy…ill-prepared…exhausted…distracted. Just not in the mood!

But if you can at the very least show upbe present — the Universe will recognize your intent and reward you with the knowledge and progress you seek.

Want success in your current project? Show up every day and work on it.

Want to create lots of content? Show up to your blog every day.

Want to get people’s attention? Then focus on other people.

In other words, what you focus on expands.

It’s such a simple concept. Yet so terribly hard to fully realize.

Why not just try showing up and see what happens?
